ECCAS participation in the Central African electoral process

Bangui, 25 December 2025 (Central African Republic) - As part of the preparations for the presidential, legislative, regional and municipal elections of 28 December 2025 in the Central African Republic, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) took part in the day of exchanges and information organized by the National Election Authority (NEA) for the benefit of the citizens of Central Africa.

Bangui, 25 December 2025 (Central African Republic) - In preparation for the presidential, legislative, regional and municipal elections of 28 December 2025 in the Central African Republic, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) took part in the day of exchange and information organized by the National Election Authority (NEA) for national and international observers.

ECCAS was represented by the technical team of its Electoral Observation Mission, led by the General Marcel MAPANGOU MOUSSADJIGeneral Supervisor of the technical team, under the authority of the Head of Mission, His Excellency Mr. Gabriel Arcanjo FERREIRA DA COSTAformer Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe and member of the pool of the ECCAS Committee of the Wise.

This meeting allowed the NEA to present the state of progress of the electoral process, the legal framework for voting and the various stages of voting. It also provided a framework for constructive exchanges between electoral authorities and observation missions, in a spirit of transparency and collaboration.

Through its participation, ECCAS reaffirms its commitment to support member States in organizing credible, inclusive and peaceful electoral processes, in accordance with its mandate of democracy, peace and governance.
